METRO MIAMI 2

Following the successful project of ‘The Metro 2005’ (see Metro Miami 1), the transportation Authority of Miami decided in 2010 to refurbish the fleet of the rolling stocks with ‘flat front-end’ as well (characterized by the door located in the middle of the front-end). A new international Design tender was launched among the most prestigious Designers and Manufacturers in the world.

Vernacchia Design with Finmeccanica AB again were awarded the contract with the most innovative design proposal ‘Smile’.
