TRAM SIRIO

SIRIO (Italian for Sirius) is a Family of trams based on a Modular Platform that allows to create a full low-floor tram (one-directional or bi-directional), with a large variety of styling options.

A distinctive and unique design character introduces the new Family feeling of the brand Ansaldobreda: the elliptical front end matched to the square cross section of the bodywork. This family feeling is also present in other Ansaldobreda vehicles, as for example the double decker train TAF). The interior design is based on modularity too, offering to the city authorities a wide range of personalisations depending on the transportation mission and corporate image.

SIRIO is a very successful project: over 370 trams of the Sirio Family operate in 2016; the list of the commitments follows: ITALY (Milano, Napoli, Sassari, Firenze, Bergamo, Genoa), SWEDEN (Göteborg), GREECE (Athens), TURKEY (Samsun, Kayseri), CHINA (Zhuhai).
