SIRIO TRAMWAVE, DELIVERED IN FAR EST

The SIRIO tramway is the most successful Platform realized by Ansaldobreda Finmeccanica. Over 300 units have been manufactured worldwide: ITALY (Milano, Napoli, Sassari, Firenze, Bergamo, Genova), SWEDEN (Göteborg), GREECE (Athens), TURKEY (Samsun, Kayseri), CHINA (Zhuhai). Beside the traditional Trolley aerial-cable power supply, an innovative technology patented by Ansaldo STS is now available: the ‘TramWave’ system consisting of an electric-power supply integrated into the ground as a third middle track (see pictures below). The Chinese company CNR Dalian, commissioned 11 Sirio equipped with the tramwave system. The first ‘Sirio TramWave’ was delivered today at Zhuhai City, October 1st 2014.
